Please note that the hall is the War Memorial for Gilberdyke parish and was built after the First World War.

It houses the Memorial Boards for those who served and died in both World Wars: the boards contain the surnames and initials, together with regiment or unit.
The full details have been sent to the UK Inventory of War Memorials and it is hoped they will appear on their website in the near future.

The hall is open when there are groups or activities taking place or come to one of our community events such as the Strawberry Fayre (listed elsewhere on this site).

Looking for any info on man named Pitt who died in an accident with a train engine around Gilberdyke area in the early 1900's.**He had 3 children I know of: Mary~ Harvey and Beatrice.

I miss summers in Hook so much~ even the smell of the pig farm nearby (sounds **like a silly thing to say~ but unless you have lived here im guessing this text **mean nothing to you.....).Anyway Walks on the river bank towards goole or to **ward the wessy banks :) all brings back good memorys:-). I now live in the US **of A~ and let me tell u ~ this place sucks~ they are so many years behind th **UK..... Blar Blar Blar....anyway i would to see pics of this village again and **maybe some stores from yourselfs..... Mark all the way from the US and soon **on my way back home:::))) Ps. here is a pic from where i live at the moment and **a sunday dinner i made(ROAST BEEF AND YORKSHIRE PUDDING) very british:) and the **night pic is Atlantic City!
