I am try to get in touch with an old friend, GILLIAN COWKING. Gillian would be late 60s / early 70s now. She was at Manchester University 1961 to 1963 then at Manchester College of Commerce '63 - '64. She worked in the British Embassy Budapest '64 0 '66 and the went to the British Embassy in 1966. I know she later went to Canada to work but I lost touch with her then. The last address I had for her was "Kingswood", Bilborrow Lane, Brock, Preston Lancs. Gillian had a sister Ann(e). hi, i'm trying to find my grandfathers last resting place, and for 11 years no luck, but have a long shot lead, he may have died in 1957 in Barton, looking for contact info to cemetary covering that village.

Hello**Does anyone out there know anything about Joseph Price who died 5-Jan.-1980 at 175 St. Georges Road~ Preston. His wife was Mary Hannah and they had several Children. Family Search****I am searching for anyone who knew Maggie Staveley ( also known as Peggy) who **lived on Fell Brow around the time of 1940 onwards. Maggie had two brothers **Clifford and John as well as sisters Elizabeth and Eleanor who worked in a **small mill/factory near Stone Bridge. ****Also her friend from Hothersall called Sidwell. Hello ~** Having just returned to OZ from UK~I was intrigued with a UK newspaper **article about an old WW2 airfield near Manchester subject to psychic **phenomena.. I.e ghostly sounds of old US aircraft landing and taking off when **nothing is visible and encounters with spectres of US pilots missing in **action. ** I've heard stories about Roman Soldiers walking up and down certain areas~ but **this is a new one to me.** I don't believe in ghosts either but I am willing to listen . Is Barton **airfield the one I am talking about. ** Please advise. Thanking you. Herman **
