My Grand-father was William Hope Sandilands, born in Coldingham, Berwickshire, in 1866. His father was John Sandilands, born in Stenton, East Lothian, in 1839. His father was Richard Sandilands, born in Haddington, East Lothian, in 1788. His father was also Richard Sandilands, born in Heriot, Midlothian, in 1765. His father was George Sandilands, born in Cranston, Midlothian, in 1727 or 1728. His father was also Richard Sandilands, and I do not have a date or place of birth, but he did marry Margaret Gordon, in about 1720. Any further information would be greatly appreciated.

My research for family is primarily East Lothian~Midlothian~and Fife. Trying t track more of my Knox and Peden side Mary Anne Knox m. John Bain and Adam Peden m. Isabella Greig. The other primary interest is Catherine Russell~ gave birth to son John Docherty jnr later John Docherty Russell then John Russell Dickson when adopted. His birth was Edgefield cottages~ Loanhead. Any one know history of the cottages or info on Catherine?

Can anyone tell me the exact location and address of DODRIDGE FARM? I lived there with my Parents for about four years when I was just a wee laddie. I'm in my seventies now so can't remember the location of the farm~ but do remember it was not far from Pathhead.**(I'm referring to the early 1940's.)
