My name is Rita Rodgers and I am looking for the Carter family. The father Ronald Carter lived in Stonehill Road (possibly Number 54),Eastwood, Essex. I believe he was married to Pat, they also had three sons called Alan, Peter & Ronald. He worked at Echo at Cuckoo Corner, Southend in 1953. Ronald had a younger brother called Bob or Robert who also lived locally in the Eastwood area. If anyone knows or remembers the family I would love to get in touch.

I am looking for info on William Ling his parents (William John & Mary ?) he was born abt 1825 Hockley Essex married Eliz Wright from Canewdon in 1845. Mostly looking for his parents. I am gt gt gt grandson. In 1841 census The family are living on Tanners St. Barking. William John was a sawyer not to many lawyers in this part of town. I am trying to find relatives/information of an Elizabeth Cook who resided at 2 Portland Street~ Southend on Sea~ in November 1935~ or anyone who can enlighten me on my mother's backgound.** My mother~the late Joyce Audrey Parkes~ resided there as a child until she was placed in a children's home in Felixstowe in 1935.
Joyce was born on 12 July 1922 in 98 St Anns Road, Southend-On Sea. Her mother's name was Fanny Florence Field(a servant)living at 79a Sutton Road and her father's name(found on her papers when admitted to a childrens home)was named as Albert Malcom PARKES/PARK.

Looking to locate descendants of Doris Gill nee Clark who lived at 9 Links Way~ Leigh on Sea in the 1970's. Doris had a daughter Linda~ a brother Walter Clark who lived at 2 Kent Avenue Leigh on Sea and a sister Florence Clark who lived at 9a Sycamore Grove~ Southend on Sea. Doris~ Florence and Walter were cousins of my grandmother and I met them on a trip to England in around 1972. I would love to know what happened to them and to possibly make contact with Linda who would have married and changed her surname and so it has been very difficult locate any descendents. hi i was looking for any info at all about a DORIS MAY WILLIS WHO DIED IN JULY QUARTER OF 2004 ~she was married to a NOEL ERIC WILLIS. her maiden name was FISHER her brother was killed in 1973 by a police car~ i beleive she married in brentwood and her death aged 94 was listed as southend.....thank you

Went to school in Southend - mainly Temple Sutton. Lived in Vallance Close 1953-56. Friends - Jeanne Baker (have contacted) Linda Terry and Pauline Bullock## and all the kids in Vallance Close. Remember the queen's coronation and party in the close.Before the eastern avenue 'highway' was put in you could walk across the fields to the Rose Inn. You could gather mushrooms and blackberries and play in the brook. Neighbours were the Baileys & Trokes. Dad and I emigrated to New Zealand in 1957 after mum died. Also looking for my cousins whose surname was Bantick. Think their first names were Susan and Maureen? My uncle Bill was their dad. Their mum was Marjorie. My aunt Violet Bantick - married name Jackson - died last year in Westcliff. Would love to hear from any of Vi Jackson's friends also.

Hi~ I'm doing some genealogy searching for the family name Dear. They came from Westcliffe-on-Sea in Essex England.**I think the mother's name was Margot~ children were: Kenneth~ Howard~ Peggy (1908) Basil Clive (1911) and Peter Gastrol Dear 1913. I don't know the father's name. **Peter was also know as Paul and Dearing~ and Basil changed his last name to Deardon. They were involved in the theatre in the UK~ USA and in Canada.
