They had a few children.

Hello - I am looking for any information on a Peregrine Emmitt~ who was buried at St Andrew's Church~ Sausthorpe~ in September 1826. He is thought to be a direct ancestor of my Father Walter Greaves Emmitt who lived in Hull.

He was a very famous farmer in his time, bought and sold an enormous quantity of stock and occupied a very large acreage in other parishes besides Partney. In those days all the meat sold in London had to walk there, and it was an important question for buvers which class of animal could travel best to Smithfield. Mr. Emmitt always rode to London to superintend the sale of the stock he had bought in the Partney neighbourhood, and returned home with the money in his pocket. Many stories are still remembered of his narrow escapes from highwaymen. He

I am trying to trace a Maggie Parker who married a Charles Smith in 1911. They were my mothers Uncle and Aunt and they lived on a small farm at Thorpe Fendike ( Fendyke) in Lincolnshire. I can remember visiting them as a small child in the 50s. I think their son and his wife built a new house next door. I would be delighted if anyone could help.

I am looking for information on ancestors that were from Lincolnshire~ specifically from Bratoft~ Mumby and Cumberworth.**Edward Teesdale was born about 1740-1750 and died May 28~ 1822 in Bratoft He was married July 29~ 1771 to Rebecca Barnard. They were married in Cumberworth. Rebecca Barnard was born 1751 in Mumby. She died April 1814. They had a son Samuel Teesdale who was born in Cumberworth in 1786. He married Mary Evanson (Evinson or Evison). My records of their marriage reads as follows: "Samuel Teesdale of this Parish (Bancof) and Mary Evinson of the Parish of Croft were married in this Church by Banns the 3rd of June 1812 by me Robert Shepherd Cusate." Mary died in Lincolnshire in March 1833. Samuel and his new wife Lillian (Ellen) came to the U.S. in 1834. My relatives are planning a trip to England in the spring and are willing to do a bit of genealogy for me. I am most interested in finding more information on Edward and Rebecca Teesdale. Could anyone help me find out where in Mumby~ Cumberworth or Bratoft my relatives could try to find information.**Thanks so much for your help (and for reading my rambling genealogy)!
