I'm Shaun Greenfield and Ive been researching my family tree, tracing my ancestors back to Richard Greenfield (my great great grandfather), born 1789 in Pembury. Richard was the son of Samuel Greenfield and his third wife Phebe. Richard married Ann Hunt in 1816 and had at least one son, George, born in Pembury in 1818. The information I have has been taken from Parish records but I cannot trace the birth or any ancestors of Samuel. I have recently visited the graveyard at the "Old Church" in Pembury hoping to find some information from the inscriptions. Although I did find three Greenfield gravestones which seemed to be of the period they were too badly weathered to be readable.
The nearest Samuel Greenfield that I can find in Parish records was born in Cuckfield in 1744. Any information you might have about Samuel Greenfield of Cuckfield would really be appreciated, even if, as they say, it is to eliminate him from my enquiries.

My great gradmother was left in three bridges as a baby and taken in by the Sharpe family~ looking for any information on the Sharps~ this would have been circa 1896. Any information or pointers of where I can get information would be useful

I am seeking info on Richard Comber b 1805 of 'Woodards ? Farm Balcombe and especially his family connection to John Comber who died1828 in Horne. John's widow Deborah Comber 55 and son James 15 were working/living at Woodards when 1841 census was taken.. I know there's a connection - any help here greatly appreciated.

My G'G'Grandfather was David Potter who moved from Worth to South Wales. His parents were John and Ann (nee Dalton). I have from a census record that Ann was a Blacksmith.**I would be very interested to learn more of the Potter family~ so if anybody is able to help I would be very grateful

  I know this was posted over 2 years ago, but I have only just seen this site and entry by yourself. your G,G Grandfather was my GG Granfathers older brother (Charles Potter).. You may have already found out all the info you need, but I would be very happy to help fill in any gaps I can form my side of the family.
  I now too live in Wales, but my side of the Potter family has hardly moved far from Worth, pretty much continually living in Blindley Heath since the late 1890's till the prtesent day.

we have bought a bungalow in the Isle of wight we believe it was owned by a Colonal May in the 40s and 50s.We believe it was his holiday home and he lived in Bolney .If anyone out there could tell us anything about Colonal May we would love to here from you.

Am doing ancestral search and know that my great grandmother was born in Bolney. Any information I can get on her and her parents and other siblings~ etc would be wonderful. My great grandmother's name was Helen Elizabeth Parsons~ she married an Alfred Stephens but I don't know if he was born there also. Her mother's maiden name was Tamer.
