Visited UK for very first time in August~ I had a great adventure in all the area's I visited~ Manchester~ Stockport~ Macclesfield~ and Fairfield. Researching my Family History on the Roylance's who lived in Stockport~ if anyone is familiar with this family please let me know~ (Ok~ there were many) we may have a connection.. so far I've got Peter and Ellen Lee-Roylance (3rd GGParents) Married at St. Mary's Parish August 1803 in Stockport and William and Elizabeth Birch-Roylance (4thGGParents) Married in Manchester Cathedral 1786. Any known relatives are encouraged to contact me. Peter's son Joseph and Family (2nd GGFather) Immigrated to the states in 1864~ we are the Roylance's of the U.S. East Coast. Joseph left a Sister in Stockport who married a James Grimshaw her name was Eliza.

I am researching my Platt family lines..Ernest James Platt was my paternal grandfather~born in Hyde~1868 to Hannah Platt~daughter of John Platt and Grace Cheetham..Hannah's siblings were Priscilla~married to Hugh Allen~and Robert..Robert was married 3 times..I would really love to find Platt relatives in Cheshire..I have John Platt parents as Robert Platt and Hannah Ingham..Most of Ernest's family is directly in Hyde~John's family branches out from Mottram..**Ernest married Amelia Andrew in Hyde 1891..In 1892 both left Liverpool on board the City of Paris~and landed at Ellis Island in New York..**Another Platt ancestor~Harriet~sister of John~married to Henry Bunting~also came to the US and settled in CT..**There are many Platt names that I have found recently~would love to find direct ancestors..**Please help!!

Family line of Ernest James Platt....His mother was **Hannah Platt Needham...She was the daughter of John Platt and Grace **Cheetham...Siblings were Prsicilla Platt Allen and Robert Platt.Robert is **listed in the 1901 census living at Hawthorne Cottage with his family...Wife **Eleanor and children Frank~George~Mary~Hilda~Millicent and George. hi i use to live in haughton green denton.. maiden name (ashcroft} i have 2 **sisters and 2 brothers we use to go to two trees school... one of my sisters **was in a bad car crash in the 80s.**and she is still in a nursing home now.. because she ended up mentaly **retarded.. she still does not know who any one is.. its such a shame she was **always full of it.. what i want to know is if anyone who use to go to two trees **and have any pictures with my sister on could you please let me have a copy **because we are doing a family tree and need pictures to show our children what **she was like befroe the accident and we are trying to get a lot of different **ones... any thing at all will help...my sisters name is yvonne ashcroft**thanks any info please email me ..**cheers suzanne

Researching my Hammond ancestors. John Hammond was born 1738 Ropsley~ **Lincolnshire. Childrens names included Thomas~ William~ John~ Christopher~ **Mathew~ Mary. By the 1800's some family members started to move around and **outside of Lincolnshire. The 1901 Census gives a Christopher Hammond born **Ropsley but residing Stockport~ Cheshire. I have found reference for a birth **1905 also Christopher and wonder if any descendants may still be residing in **the area. My own great grandfather Christopher Hammond born Heighington~ **Lincolnshire 1858 emigrated to New Zealand 1879. I have found another **Christopher born 1820 with living descendants in Lincolnshire & Lancashire. I **am doing extensive research for a book so if anyone thinks they may be related **or have some information no matter how great or small it would be much **appreciated.
