I am looking for information on the Jennings~ Alder and James family's from Penzance~ Cornwall ~ England. They came from the towns of Madron and Newlyn. My paternal grandparents~ John & Fanny Alder-Jennings originally came from Madron and immigrated to the USA to live in the Bronx ~ New York City in 1906. My Great Grandmother Elizabeth Alder also came to USA in 1913 when my great grandfather Samuel Alder passed away. She returned to England in 1919 to live with James Family in Newlyn. I am trying to gather information on family history and locate anyone who would know where my great granparents are buried .

My gt gt grandfather~ William~ lived in Madron~ and died either in or before 1851. I don't know when he was born~ and I can't find the family in the 1841 census. I wonder if there is a (legible!) gravestone in the churchyard which might give some information.

Hi~ my husband's ancestors came from Grumbla where they were tin miners. James & wfie Fanny (nee Waters) were listed in the 1851 census. They had 9 children and their 2nd child~ John Waters Hosking married Jane Ellis in 1849. They had 2 children before leaving for Australia where they had another 10! Would be very grateful for any information regarding the rest of the family still in England or for any history of the area. Thanks~ Jean.

In an attempt to have a lady who died in 1917 officially recognised as a war **casualty by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission~ I am trying to trace **descendants/relatives/or others who may have details of a Reginald Birkill and **Ernest Wethered (last known location~1947~ Penzance) executors of the late Rosa **Wethered of Wood Lane~ Falmouth who died in 1947. Rosa Wethered is buried in **East Finchley Cemetery~ London with her husband~ Frank Joseph Wethered~ FRCS **and daughter Dorothy Marguerite Inman. FAMILY HISTORY SEARCH - HOLLOW/WEBB**My great grandfather Robt Trewren Hollow m Eliz Jane Webb on 16.05.1854 at Ludgvan and sailed for Aust in that year. Robt's parents were William Hollow & Christina Trewren and Eliz's parents were Nicholas Webb & Sarah Pascoe. Both couples also married in Ludgvan in 1807 and 1816 respectively. I would appreciate any info and would be pleased to provide info re Australian family.
