searching for the descendents of willaim and mary(hey) crickmer. appear on the marriage records of elizabeth crickmer in october 1816 as witnesses. i suspect her parents~ but are commonly refered to as the crickmer cousins. elizabeth was born in 1796~ 1800 in some records~ but 1796 at bungay ~ most likely st mary baptism but i have been unable to obtain record. she isted norfolk as a birthplace in 1841 census~ but most people believe she came from bungay~ suffolk so confusion abounds. william and mary crickmer were farmers of loddon norfolk. but the trick is it is mary~ not maria another couple willliam and marria crickmer were married about the same time 1792 apox but they are different branch of the family. can anyone help? since this part of very complexed genealogy exact dates and parents are needed. elizabeth crickmer druce was my g.g.g grandmother and i would really like to get to end of this mystery.

i am seeking descendants of william and mary (hey)CRICKMER- married about 1792~ ** at LODDON both names appear as witnesses of the marriage of Elizabeth CRICKMER~ my gggrandmorher . Though ut has been suggested that William and Mary were the Crickmer cousins~ I think they were really Elizabeths parents. Elizabeth was born iin 1800 according to most popular stories~ my research has the most probably date as 1796~ she was supposed to be baptised in Bungay Suffolk~ she put Norfolk as place of birth in 1841 census. I was once offered St.MARY Bungay baptism record for Elizabeth~ the price was over 1/2 weeks income~ I may desperate but not that desperate. So all I can hope for is find any another Crickmer who has the family tree. And to avoid confusion it is Mary~ not Maria. William and Maria are an entirely different branch of the family~ who married and lived around the same time as William and Mary.

I am interested in finding more information on Thomas Jenkinson Woodward J.P. LL.B.(1745-1820) and his wife Frances (Manning) Woodward. Frances Manning was the daughter of Thomas Manning (1724-1787) and Frances (Simpson)Manning of Bungay. The Woodwards were married about 1770.and lived in Bungay and Ditchingham (The Lodge). They later moved to Diss (Walcot Hall). T.J. Woodward besides being a lawyer was a well known botanist~ an early member of the Linnean Society and a friend of many of the leading botansits of the day. They hosted a French refugee 1793?-1800 named Pierre Augustin Joseph de Captan who on his return to France (St. Sever~ Landes) corresponded with Mrs Woodward until his death about 1833 (we have the letters). When and in what church were they married? Where did they live? Why did T.J.W. moved to Bungay (he was born in Huntingdon)I would be glad to exchange any information. I am researching their very interesting lives.

Hello,
I own a book formerly owned by Thomas Jenkinson Woodward and later by Rev. Canon Charles Robertson Manning, MA, Rector of Diss, Norfolk. It is a numismatic work, "The Virtuoso's Companion" 1795 by Denton & Prattent and features Woodward's bookplate. Woodward was a well known numismatist of his time and a ardent contemporary collector of 18th century British tokens. I am interested to know the connection between the two men. I can provide more information about Woodward's numismatic interests and a scan of the bookplate if you would like.
Best regards,
Harold Welch
