Greetings~ Dad and I are aggressively searching for our family history. We have known ties to Heckington~ Sleaford~ Sheffield~ Burton Pedwardine~ Old Goole~ Bailey Brook and numerous other locations in England. I am fortunate to still have my Nana alive to share this information with and for her to share her input with Dad and I. I really need your help. I am looking for Nana's maternal grandmother's footsteps. Her name was Sarah Jane "Jenny" Warrington. She married Lancelot Pidd and had four children with him. Theirs was a messy marriage with many comings and goings. Jenny Pidd would have a relationship with a Mr. Wyeth and then return to Lancelot Pidd~ finally leaving Lancelot for good sometime past 1895. She would later marry a Mr. James Porter~ a policeman. She passed away about 1937 and is buried in Brayton~ Selby. Anyone with knowledge of her life please contact me directly. Secondly~ I need knowledge of the Warrington Family. Sarah Jane "Jenny" Warrington's Father was William Warrington and her mother was Elizabeth Pell. I believe Elizabeth Pell's father was John Pell and mother Elizabeth Davidson. William Warrington's father was Joseph Warrington and I believe his mother to be Sarah Fletcher. Lancelot Pidd's father was George Pidd and Elizabeth Barnsdale. Any help would be greatly appreciated and of course~ I can fill in all the forward pieces of the tree.**Regards~**Suzanna

I am putting together my Family History~ my Grandmother was Rosanna Dawson born 4 Sep 1887 in Horbling her mother was Mary Hannah Dawson nee Whittaker and her father was Jesse Dawson a Farm Labourer. Where and when were Mary and Jesse born ? Where and when did they get married ? Where and when did they die ? Are they buried in Horbling ? Are there any members of the Dawson or Whittaker families still around and may be fill in the gaps of theior families ? Thank you for your time.

I was recently passing through Kirkby La Thorpe and photographed my Great Grandfather's Gravestone. Later another relative gave me a copy of a picture they had taken a year before which showed the stone in a worse state. I am hoping that it was cleaned by a relative. So if you cleaned the headstone of Thomas and Susan Fisher could you please contact me.

Jimmy Speed

I am researching the existence of Speed's in Spanby~ Osbournby and Tickencoate and any other area in Lincolnshire County~ England. I am in Texas and my family~ Thomas Speed~ Sr. and Betsey Reast Speed came to the USA from England in the mid 1800's. They are buried in Fayette County~ La Grange~ Texas. Thomas Speed~ Sr. left family members in England and I am wanting to locate Speed descendants of Thomas Speed~ Sr. Thomas's parents are Robert and Jane Speed and a Lincolnshire County Historical Society researcher told me Robert and Jane Speed are buried in the Spanby Cemetery. She went and looked and couldn't find their graves (maybe they're unmarked?) **Does anyone know the best way to try and research the Speed Family in these areas? Anyone know how I can get a phone book with a list of addresses for Speed? Or do you know how I would find out the caretaker of the Spanby Cemetery where Robert and Jane are buried in hopes I can locate their burial site?**Any information is appreciated! Thanks! Jimmy D. My grandmother~ Saran Thacker~ was born 14 Apr 1866 in Heckington. My great-grandfather~ William Thacker~ was born in 1830 in Ewerby. My great-grandmother~ Sarah Struggles~ was born 26 Jun 1837 in Heckington. Sarah Struggles (Thacker)wrote to my family in Racine~ Wisconsin~ USA~ during WWI from 54 West Banks~ Sleaford. I will be visiting the area in July~ 2009~ and would appreciate any help finding more about my family history. I live in Thousand Oaks~ CA~ USA
