I have found the Banns for the marriage of my Great Aunt Harriet Ellen Burlingham to John William Cooke at Threxton in 1895. The Banns book is deposited at the Norfolk Record Office, but not the marriage register. Could anyone tell me where I can find the marriage register please, to confirm the name of Harriet's father?

Hi~ my ancestors are David Harris Bennett and Mary Ann Antoinette Turner who set out for Australia in 1852. It's difficult to trace David as there as so many of his name in England in that time. His mother was Elizabeth Harris and father was David Bennett. I believe this David was also from Norfolk but I'm not sure. Can anyone help?

Hello Donna, Have just started to work back from my gtgtgrandmother Rebecca Bennett who married Thomas Tuddenham in Gooderstone in 1834. I found families of Bennetts in Gooderstone in mid-19th cent (David 1794?-1858 and his kids) but I don't know yet if he is Rebecca's Dad or not. Thanks very much for the pointer re David H. All his bros. came with him to Victoria (on the 'Success') as assisted immigrants. I was really chuffed to find them all. http://www.access.prov.vic.gov.au/public/PROVguides/PROVguide050/PROVguide050.jsp Will now be looking for Bennetts in Oz as well as in Norfolk. Thanks again for the pointer. -- Joan

Searching for the grave sites of my Great Great grandfather Daniel Gilbert & also his 3rd wife Sarah Ann Gilbert nee Bartle.**Daniel was a retired Schoolmaster living in Oxborough` who died on 22 of October 1910 in Oxborough Norfolk . His wife Sarah Ann was a Schoolmistress at the Hewars Charity School in Oxborough (possible the National School) and she died on 31 January 1922 in Oxborough. Can anyone help me to locate their graves? Together they had 1 son Joseph Frederick Gilbert born in 1896. Are their any records of them in Oxborough if so I would be grateful for any information.

I am tracing my family history and have discovered that a Joseph Butters and his family were living in Gooderstone in 1851. Joseph's son~ Henry Butters~ aged 11 in 1851 eventually moved to live in Lavant~ West Sussex and was the Father of my Grandfather E R Butters. Are there any members of the Butters family still in Gooderstone? I would be interested to know. Thank you.

MUNDFORD CHURCH HISTORY - CLARKE FAMILY 1700s**I am researching my family history. Would anybody be kind enough to check out the Church. I believe my ancestors were VICARS of Mundford in the early-to-mid 1700s and I wondered whether there is any information on them in the church.**I am interested in William and Samuel CLARKE (father and son)~ any dates (birth~ death or marriage) or details of their mothers or children would be appreciated. I believe their names are inscribed on the walls and it is possible/likely they were buried there.**Perhaps the current Vicar has parish records?**Any input/help would be really appreciated as it is difficult for me to visit.**Hopefully~**Tim Clarke**Tel No 07958 645119 timclarke@dial.pipex.com
