I am looking for information on the Ling family who lived in the Little Plumstead~ Witton area of Norfolk. I am especially interested in finding out more info. re: a Robert Ling who was born in Little Plumstead in 1814. The info~ I have about him is that his father's name was John Ling who was an agricultural labourer~ he was married to an Elizabeth Griffrin b. 1819 and their son~ Walter Ling b. 1852 in Blodfield~ Norfolk was my Gt. grandfather. I am very keen on genealogy and have managed to get as far back as 1461 for one of the brances of my family. However as far as the Ling side of my family are concerned~ I am stuck at 1814~ in Little Plumstead. Can you help me ?

I have been doing research into my ancestors who lived in Hainford~ Norfolk and was wandering if there were any Earl's left in the village. My great grandfather was Samuel (chimmney sweep) and my grandfather was Ernest Arron (born 1870 & a painter and decorator. My grandfather moved with his family (including my dad Arthur Edward) to Norwich around 1900.**I~ myself moved to West Yorkshire in 1961~ but visited this beautiful village in 2004 and found a few gravestones**of my ancestors at the old church.****Hope this is of interest to someone out there.
