My ancestors came from Horton. Elias Shipway was a blacksmith and farrier in the village and was born about 1790. Has anyone got information where the smithy was or where I can locate the data? Any leads would be appreciated. Thank you

Looking for James Mills born c1771 Thornbury.**He married a Mary ?? who was born 1781.**James was an AG Labiourer and his son moved to Wales c1830 and became a miner. James junior took his parents with him. They all then lived in Abersychan~ Monmouthshire.

Hello~**I was born in Rudgeway in 1952~ in a large two storey house in Church Road~ just down from an old Norman church. There was a little cottage opposite our house. The Elworthy's had a little farm just up from us~ which my brothers and I used to walk past every day to school and back~ we all went to school in Almondsbury. I wonder would there be anybody who would remember the Garbutt family? We left in 1966.

I am researching my family history~ and have discovered I am a descendant of the Salmon's from Thornbury~ my Great Grandmother was Mary Ann Salmon born 1838~ who was a descendant of John Salmon and Ann Stokes ~there is a memorial to them in St Mary's church.****Would love to hear from any other descendants.
