Monks Eleigh, Suffolk (1.7 miles away)
My family line comes from Monk's Eleigh / Hitchin. I have been able to trace back to Thomas Keeble (born 1730) who married Elizabeth Reynolds (born circa 1730). They married 1762. Does anybody have any information regarding the Keeble name prior to this period ?

I visited Whatfield last week when researching my Double family. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who may have any information or be connected to the Double family. I am descended from Thomas and Sarah Double who are both buried at Whatfield~ Thomas 1702 and Sarah 1713.

My Bixby Ancestor~ Joseph Bixby ( baptised 28 Oct 1621 at Little Waldlingfield~Suffolk was the son of George and Ann (Cole) Bixby. In The Bixby Genealogy I inherited from my Great Aunt Mary Glessner~ Ohio "About 1500 Bekelsby appearsto have been used interchangeably with Bixby. It was so spelled in 1427. The name is first met with in Thorpe Morieux~ a small parish and townshipin Western Suffolk~ where in 1427 we find Walter Bekesby buying land. The next mention of the name is in 1459 in the will at Bury St Edmuncs of Walter Bekesby of Thorpe Moreiux~ who we do not doubt is the same man who was found 32 years before buying land there. He will mention 2 sons~ Robert and Nicholas....The Bixby's of Thorpe Morieux were evedently amongthe more important residents there and were well-to-do yeoman farmersthere" Would love to connect with other Bixby folk. I am planning to visit Suffolk~ East Anglia Sept-Oct 2009.

My GGGGrandfather was Henry Campion being born in Cockfield 1832 and was listed as a journeyman butcher amongst other things. He married to Martha Boggis and I can find 10 children. I am trying to make a connection between Ralph Smyth of Hingham Norfolk (c1612-1633)~ Churchwarden John Smyth~ Wm.Spring family~ and Edmund Hobart Family. Does anyone have any information to share~ or know of a local records depository~ that will determine if there was a kinship between any of these folks.
