I am the grandson of Edgar James and Lizzie Cross. I am curently trying to trace my family history. My grandfather and great grandfather were Blacksmiths at Twyford Mill. Elizabeth Cross was the Twyford Sub Post mistress in main street. My great grandfather was James Cross who was married to Harriett. They are buried in Twyford Church (St Mary's). I am trying to confirm that Harriett's maiden name was Stevens, whom I think came from Chetwode. Please can anyone help me with this query. My Granddad and Granmother eventually went to live in Stony Stratford.

I am after information on the Roads Family~ particuarly from : Thomas ROADS ╖ Birth: 1600 in Middle Claydon~ Bucks.~ England~ His father is John ROADES also born in Middle Claydon. John was the Estate baliff to the Verney family in 1610. I am looking for information on any Turvey family member~ living or have lived in Piddington/ Luggershall areas.**My Great~ Great Grandfather was Richard Turvey~ who I believe came from Piddington~ born about 1819. He later moved to Stratford on Avon~ Warwicks area and married Elizabeth Edwards. There seems to be some mystery surrounding him.**

William Jennings b 1819? and siblings born Steeple Claydon Ag Labourer~ married Mary Pangbourne(orn)Lacemaker also from village (b 1815) both living The Barracks 1901. Mary's parents from Oxon but her siblings all Steeple Claydon.**One son Thomas married Emma Rhodes from Grendon Underwood and am descended from here. 3 of their children born in village 1868 to 1871. Any information prior to these would be gratefully received.

I think I may have traced my ancestry back to Waddesdon and Edgcott. Most of the Butler's seem to have been in Edgcott but some migration has happened and I am trying to solve it. Are there currently any Butler's living in Waddesdon and if yes I would love to hear from them.

Are there still any BUTLER's living in EDGCOTT????**I can trace back to Samuel BUTLER born 1765 and married to Elizabeth???? in 1790. He would be my 4th. great grandfather. Next in line is his son Richard BUTLER~ then William BUTLER and finally Henry BUTLER who came to Ontario~ Canada in the late 1800's. Any connections out there?????**My 3great grandfather Richard ran a pub in 1841/51 called the**"Three Horse Shoes Inn" Does anyone have any knowledge of this pub and or any info on it to help me with my genealogy research???

• Hi Len, Just hoping you are still on this email. We share a 4 times great grandfather, Samuel Butler. My gran's maiden name was Butler. I saw some of the details you have in the 1841 trade directory, probably as you did. My 3x great grandfather was John, b. 1791. Presumably he's the John that did the regular round to Aylesbury on his horse and cart!
