Malton, North Yorkshire (4.9 miles away)

My father's line is John Young from Malton who married Sarah Anderson in 1858. John's father was Richard Young and his mother was Ann Brashaw. They were married in Malton in 1826. Sarah's family was from Weaverthorpe and her parents are Thomas Anderson and Ann Bayes married 1830. My sister and I will be visiting the area this September to do some family research. If there is anyone with any information on these families please email me at caroleseay@yahoo.com.

Other chidren where John b 1829 Elizabeth b 1832 and William b 1834.

I have a stack of war letters from my father. Among them was a letter from someone by the name of E Douthwaite from Hindlea~ Broughton~ Malton. Does anyone know of the present owners so I can find out further information about this area.****If it is possible to return this letter back to the rightful owner (i.e. the grandchildren) I would be happy to send a copy. The letter is very interesting. Proof of identity will be required. ****Lin ****

My Great Great Grandparents~ Thomas Bell and Sarah Cuss~ were married in Malton on 25 September 1837. Thomas came from Welbury and Sarah from Malton. They were still living in Malton at the time of the 1841 census but by 1851 they had moved to Scarborough where Thomas was the landlord of the Blue Bell Inn in Cross Street. Thomas's father was also called Thomas and Sarah's Parents were Thomas and Ann Cuss.**Any other information about the Bell?Cuss families wold be appreciated.
