I am looking for information regarding George Rushton (1882/3) who i believe was born in Longbridge Hayes. He married Gertrude Bell (formally Foulds) in 1925 in Hull. He has six children with Gertrude~ one of whom is my GG Grandmother. I don't have a date of birth but he died in 1964. George became a profesional footballer and was previously married. There is some thoughts that his previous wife may have been Roseanne Chell but there are doubts surrounding this.****I would appreciate some help with his date of birth and his first marriage. I have both the marriage certificates and George's and his father is different on both. On the latter his father was George (Miner) and on the 1925 his father is called Thomas (railway Inspector). Hello all~**I lived in Butt Lane in the 70's.Apart from the brilliant pubs and good company~ I will always remember the beautifull sausages that I bought from Delves' butchers. They had 2 shops~one in Butt Lane~ and the other on the A34 at Talke.
