Hi~ I'm looking for some information on my family history~ my grandad was Thomas Edward Reynolds who passed away last year - he was brought up by his grandparents - his grand father had the same name - his mum louisa may passed away during child birth - very little is known about my grandad's father as this was in 1926 and having children outside marriage was frowned upon - my grandad's birth certificate does not have a name on it it just says illegitimate - I believe his surname was jones .

my gggg grandfather THOMAS SMITH was born in ABERNANT 1806 was working as a farm labourer 1841~ 1851 farmed 15 acres at PANTYWEIN 1861 shopkeeper 1871 and butcher at PENYBOT ABERNANT in 1891. his son also THOMAS born 1840 was my GGG grandfather he moved to London where he worked as grocer but his son MY GG grandfatherTHOMAS EDWARD SMITH was born at PANTYWEIN. His son my grandfather HAROLD IVOR SMITH killed WW1 was born at CRWBIN/ Any info on the Village of Abernant or the early Smith family would be appreciated thank you Pam Crowe. nee smith
