Several generations of my ancestors were born~ lived & died in Linslade from the early 1800s right through to the early 1900s. Most were working on the railways and lived in and around Wing Rd~ Southcott & Southcourt~ Rose Cottage~ Gibraltar Square~ Soulbury Rd~ Old Road. Examples: Ambrose Holland Snr (married Sarah Chandler~ 7 kids)~ Ambrose Holland Jr (Married Mary Ann Jelley~ 7 kids)~ Charles Holland (Married Sophia Wheeler moved to Harlesden~ 3 kids). I would be very interested in any old photographs of any of these places or articles~ stories~ etc. from Linslade around that period - or anyone who has links into any of these other family trees.

• Just seen your comments re Ambrose Holland he was my gr Grandfather Granny Holland(Mary Ann Jelley) brought up my father when his mother Ambrose's daughter Lillie died. To complicate things Mary Ann's sister Jane married my gr grandfather Thomas Dawson. I was born in Willesden but lived 57 years in Linslade. I do have some photo's re the above.

I grew up and went to school in Woburn Sands~ did time in the merchant navy then went to work around the world as a driller~ presently live in Western Australia.**My Mum still lives in Woburn Sands and is in her 96th year.

Hi My name is Bob Norman and I live in Brampton Ontario Canada. I am looking for an old friend who I have known since 1956 when we worked together at a company called ACI in South Ruislip Middx. We have corresponded for years but I haven't heard from him for a couple of years now.
