I was born in great durnford in 1938~ my aunty Marg (nee Grinter) still lives there. I went to Netton School then to St Osmunds in salisbury.**** I Emigrated to Australia in 1965.****My sister still lives in Salisbury

I need to find the names of GP's who were registered in East Harnham / Salisbury area in 1932. My Grandmother Dorothy Howell nee Cannell lived at 52~Harnham Road. She died in Salisbury Infirmary 30th May 1932. She was either in late stages of pregnancy or had just given birth.She was only 24 years old. A post mortem was carried out and I need to get a copy of this. WRO have been very helpful but could not find this document.Dorothy is buried at the Devizes Road Cemetery. If I can locate the GP name it would be a start. Any information would be most welcome.

I am trying to find the names of GP practices in East Harnham and surrounding areas dated back to 1932. My Grandmother Dorothy Howell nee Cannell lived at 52~Harnham Road. She died in Salisbury Infirmary 30th May 1932 aged only 24 years. I believe she was either in the very late stage of pregnancy or had just given birth. I know a post-mortem was performed and need a copy of this . I have contacted WRO who were very helpful but could not find a post-mortem report. I need to find Dorothy's Doctors name and start from there. Any information would be most welcome. I live in Derbyshire but will be coming to Salisbury in May to visit my Grandmothers grave at the Devizes Road Cemetery.Many Thanks. Liz Cresswell.
