Hi my name is Jayne Rowlands and i am researching my family tree but have sadly hit a brick wall. My grampa Hugh Humphreys was born on a farm in Rhosgadfan in 1900-1901. His dad was also called Hugh and he apparently married two sisters~ the first one being called Ellen or Ellin~ so my gramp had step siblings whose names i dont know as well as his blood brothers who were called Owain~ Tom and i think Bill.My gramp moved down to South Wales in his late teens~ he met and married my nanna in 1924 and lived the rest of his life here. I would be so grateful if anyone has any information that might help me.

• Good morning.My name is Eiddon Roberts and live in West Yorkshire but was born and raised up in Rhosgadfan just after the 2nd world war.So I thought I would try to help.There was only one family in the village with the name Humphreys at the time.the youngest Geraint is a year older than me which would make him 63/64 now.He and I played for the local team Mountain Rangers and ultimately for the Welsh schoolboy team alongside John Toshack.He no longer lives in Rhosgadfan but you may be able to trace him through the football team which is still in existence and have a web site.If possible contact Derek Thompson who is my age.Geraint's older brother is Gwynfor and I believe lives in Llanrug.They also have an older sister Gracie I think but I know nothing of her.I have no recollection of their parent names.In those days we would know them as Mr and Mrs Humphreys of Fron Teg.As I am uncertain whether this information will get through to you i will leave it at that but I do have other ideas a

Hi**My Father has found a WW1 Medal whilst clearing out his father house after his death.**It is a Newcastle Emlyn presented to Major CCL Fitzwilliams ~ after some research I have found he was born in Llandyfroig around 1876 and lived in Cilgwyn ?? **We would teally like to return his medal to his family. Do they still live in the area? Do you know of any Fitzwilliams in the area?**
