Does anyone have any knowledge of my Great Grandad Alfred Goulding~born in Burtonwood 1861.On the 1901 census he was a widower living on Warrington Rd Wigan with four children.

My family name is Goulding and on the Wigan 1901 Census my GGrandad is named as Alfred Goulding born 1861 in Burtonwood.He was a widower with children Alfred~Henry~Clara and Jack.Does anyone have any information that could help me to find out more.

• My grandmother was called Clara Goulding. I have been told that she was from Wigan, and moved to Preston where she had a daughter who was adopted; and then married a Joe Castle. I'm not sure if this is the daughter of Alfred.

MADDOCKS - I am looking for any family history on my grandfather~ Edwin Maddocks~ born July 8~ 1896 in Leigh~ Lancashire. I don't know his father's name or his mother's name. He had 4 sisters that were older than him: Nellie~ Frances~ Dolly and Elsie. His father was a miner and a wrestler and died around 1899 or 1900.
