I am researching my family history who i have found lived Shepshed/Loughborough in Leicestershire all of the name Savage I believe they were Catholic. my gt gt gt gt grandfather was John Savage maarried to Mary Savage who lived in Sullington Road Shepshed during the 1841 1851 & 1861 census they later moved to Loughborough their children were Thomas~ Susanna~ John~ William Mary~ Sarah~ Elizabeth & Edward.

I am looking for details of both my mothers and fathers family~ Mother was Doris Howlett born June 14th 1914 in Quorn she took my fathers name Elliott by deed. I believe my Grandfather was either James (b1886) or John H Howlett (b1883) both from Quorn~ My mother had two known and possible a third older brother names are John and Jim Howlett~ John worked on the railway and was married to Jean~ had three known children Susan now probaly in her 60's~ Sean and Tony( Both ages unknown but older than Susan) John And Jean at one time lived in**Wordsworth Road Loughbrough. I was told my grandfather was killed on a bus on his way home from first world war.**My father was William Elliott who died in late 1951 before I was born he was believed to be around 48 when he died~ he may have been a printer by trade sadly I know little else about him except he was possible born in the market Bosworth area. My GtGrandfather John STEVENSON owned a farm in Walton on the Wolds about 1876 **to 1909. At his death ~ his son Thomas took over the farm but sold at a later **date. My mother spent many happy hours there as a little girl and I am **writing down her stories for my grandchildren. In June~ we will be visiting **England and would like to visit Walton on the Wolds~ to take some pictures. **Could someone tell me if this farm still exists?
