Looking for further information about the lifeand any living descendants of Frances Norman nee Reeve (b.13Mar1838 in Hopton~ SFK## d.21Jan1922 in Beccles~ SFK)~ especially of her son~ Robert Reeve Norman (b.07Sep1877 in Beccles~ SFK) and grandson~ Arthur Ernest Norman (b.1912 in Beccles~ SFK). **Frances was the 2nd wife of Robert Samuel Norman (ch.10Mar1830 at Beccles~ SFK## d.04Apr1922 in Beccles~ SFK). Both Frances & Robert Norman are buried in Beccles Cemetery. They had 5 children together: Albert (b.1873)~ Kate (b.1874)~ Edith (b.1876)~ the aforementioned Robert (b.1877) and Maggie (b.1878).**Frances also had 5 children by her first husband~ Thomas Francis King (1833-1870)~ some of whom lived with the Normans in Beccles: John H. King (b.1862)~ Fanny Trix King (b.1864)~ Thomas G. King (b.1866)~ and Ernest E. King (1870-1890).**

I am reasearching my family tree and would appreciate any help with tracing my Suffolk roots.My ancestors are James Wyatt born 1725 in Worlingham and Sarah Balls born c.1727 Worlingham. They married on the 29th July 1751 Worlingham. I am unable to find any information on their parentage. There are several variations on the surname Wyatt including~ Wyat~ Whyett~&Whyat.

I am just starting to trace my english family roots. A "Francis Francis" was born in North Cove~ Suffolk Co. England. He married Mary Peck. She was born in North Cove also. They had a son named John~ who married Elizabeth Sapy~ daughter of William Sapy and Susannah Youel. She was born in Shipmeadow~ Suffolk Co. A daughter of their's~ a Mary Francis born 1805 married to Phillip Simmons~ born 11799 in Broome~ Suffolk Co.~ England moved to Tryon~ Prince Edward Island Canada. My great grandfather was John Summerfield Francis born 11 August 1848~ died 15 May 1929 in Bay Fortune~ Prince Edward Island~ Canada. My grandfather was Arthur Earle Francis born 20 April 1888~ died 07 June 1977.He married Amy Blanche Simmons. My name is Brian Francis~ any relatives out there. Very curious. Thanks.

I am interested in finding more information on Thomas Jenkinson Woodward J.P. LL.B.(1745-1820) and his wife Frances (Manning) Woodward. Frances Manning was the daughter of Thomas Manning (1724-1787) and Frances (Simpson)Manning of Bungay. The Woodwards were married about 1770.and lived in Bungay and Ditchingham (The Lodge). They later moved to Diss (Walcot Hall). T.J. Woodward besides being a lawyer was a well known botanist~ an early member of the Linnean Society and a friend of many of the leading botansits of the day. They hosted a French refugee 1793?-1800 named Pierre Augustin Joseph de Captan who on his return to France (St. Sever~ Landes) corresponded with Mrs Woodward until his death about 1833 (we have the letters). When and in what church were they married? Where did they live? Why did T.J.W. moved to Bungay (he was born in Huntingdon)I would be glad to exchange any information. I am researching their very interesting lives.

  I own a book formerly owned by Thomas Jenkinson Woodward and later by Rev. Canon Charles Robertson Manning, MA, Rector of Diss, Norfolk. It is a numismatic work, "The Virtuoso's Companion" 1795 by Denton & Prattent and features Woodward's bookplate. Woodward was a well known numismatist of his time and a ardent contemporary collector of 18th century British tokens. I am interested to know the connection between the two men. I can provide more information about Woodward's numismatic interests and a scan of the bookplate if you would like.
