Yarmouth, Isle of Wight (4.3 miles away)

I am a direct descendent of Moses Fryer 1786-1862 and Eliza Miller 1796-1871. Bother are buried in the Yarmouth Burial Ground. Moses' father was James and Mary Butler Fryer. I would like to know any information regarding their lives and their parentage. The seem to have been residents of the Isle of Wight for generations and are buried there in the Yarmouth Burial Ground or the Yarmouth Church cemetery. I have never been to England so I am not familiar with the area. Are there church records there that go back into the early 1700's and 1600's? Are there any Fryer families there now that are connected to my Fryers. I come through Richard Fryer who immigrated from there in 1854. He was the son of Moses Fryer. I would appreciate any information regarding this family. Sincere thanks~ Myrna Johnson~ Mesa~ Arizona U.S.A.

I am hoping to find my friend's family in England. His father~ Harry Charles Rueben Wheeler and his uncle~ Albert Edward Wheeler~ came to America (from Pilley) in 1929 to live with an uncle~ also named Albert Edward Wheeler. His grandparents were Harry J Wheeler and Rosa Jane Vowles Wheeler. He had an uncle~ Douglas Grove Wheeler~ who was killed at Dunkirk in 1940. He had two aunts~ I believe named Ethel and Joyce. Any help would be appreciated greatly!!!! Thank you so much. Bonny Simpson - friend of Philip Wheeler

I believe my great grandfather George Rogers owned the village store in about 1945. Can anyone shed any light on this? Anything would be greatly received.

Hi~ I live in an over 55 lifestyle village in the suburb of Warners Bay NSW Australia. It is a newly established community which will eventually have 52 units in it. It is called Lymington Village. John Warner~ who came to the area in the eighteen thirties~ (the area was eventually called after him~) named his property Lymington~ after his native village in Hampshire England. We would be interested in setting up a dialogue between us and maybe a similiar type of community in your city.
