I am trying to find out more about my 3 great granfather Frederick Walker (born 1850 in Ireton Wood), his parents were Joseph Walker (born 1807 in Ireton Wood, agricultural labourer) and Ann Hutchinson (born 1806 in Ireton Wood). I have driven around the village, so pretty and some lovely old cottages/barns. Would love to hear from anyone who knows the local history please. Jo

I suspect it is an alternate spelling of Brailsford. She married a William Redshaw~ also of "Brelstord". Her previous name was Valerie Athill~ 21 Cavendish Way~ Mickleover/Derbyshire. **In the years 1961 and 1963 I had made pupil exchange with a pupil of your school. His name was John Knight~ who lived in Littleover/Derby. **The name of my school: Weidigschule in Butzbach/Germany. **The name of your teacher in those days who had contact with my school was Miss Furness~ or so. I am looking for any information on a relative Henry Charles Webb who may have attended kirk Langley school from 1910~ he was born in India but came to england and stayed with relatives the Brough family at The Pastures farm. henry may have been at school with his cousin Gordon Brough~ who's father was Henry George Stables Brough. This information is urgently needed as Henry Webb's son is stranded in Zimbabwe and cannot get out unless he can prove his father spent his childhood in UK. Patrick has to have a British passport to leave the country. I am trying everything I know to assist in his release from this terrible place he is stuck in. his sister has got a home for him in Uk she got out as her husband had British Passport. Please if anyone can help at all I would be eternally grateful.Kathleen Baker
