Hello, I am trying to trace my grandfathers family who I believe come from Woore and PipeGate. He was George Henry Jones known as Harry. His brother was Arthur Ernest Jones who was married to Edna and had 2 children Hilary and John. John had the butchers shop in Woore oppersite the pub. I believe he was also the policeman.   First of all Tish, what area are you from? I live in Devon UK but am a native of Woore. Edna Jones was my old dinner lady at school in Woore. I knew her well but unfortunately she died must be about 5 years ago now. I never knew Arthur her husband. Her son John was a Staffordshire Police Officer (I am a retired Police Officer as well). He went into the butchery business and worked at Reg Martin's butchers at Woore. John is also deceased. He married Reg's daughter Christine. John's sister Hilary still resides in Woore and I know her well. She is married to Derek Bailey and they live in a cottage next to Woore Manor House.
