I am looking for information on a postmistress by the name of Eva Gilbert who worked in the village in the 1950s or any relatives she may have. Any help with this would be much appreciated.

My Great Great Grandfather Charles William Henry Parry was the village Blacksmith at Credenhill in the 1800s and was married to Phoebe who carried on as a Blacksmith after his death. She eventually married one of the two blacksmiths she employed John Jones and became the village Postmistress. She is buried in the churchyard there. I would appreciate any information relative to the Parrys in Credenhill please

My Great Grandfather Leonard Jones moved to Canada from Herefordshire in the 1880's. In the 1861 census he was listed as been born in Clehonger and his parents were William~ born in Dorston~ circa 1824 and Mary~ nee Morgan~ born in Eardisley circa 1829. William Jones was a miller.**Besides my Great Grandfather there were two sisters that I know of. Mary Jane born in Stauton-on-Arrow and christened May 22 1868 and Sarah Ann born in Pembridge and christened June 7 1857. The mother Mary died somewhere around 1870 and William remarried a woman named Elizabeth.**If you are a distant cousin with or without more information I would love to here from you! doug.jones4@rogers.com

I am looking for information about my 4xgrt grandmother~ Mary Phillips who was a convict transported to Hobart in 1826. In her records her place of birth is listed as Strutton~ Herefordshire~ which I think could be Stretton. She was born in about 1806~ she died in Tasmania from consumption in 1842. Any help would be much appreciated.

I have found a Margaret PRICE who lived in London~ married in central London (St Martin in the Fields) lived in PAddington and other parts of London including Southwark. She was born in MAdley Herefordshire according to several census returns. Her birth date is variously given as ranging between 1804-1811 although I think she died in 1873 in Southwark (Surrey) at the age of 69 (as shown on the BMD index). I would be very interested to know if there are any other PRICES recorded in Madley and if anything further is known about them and about the village at the beginning of the 19th century.
