Hi~ my maiden name was Bakewell. My dad had a double barrel surname of Ward-Bakewell. I also think we have west as a family name somewhere~ I would love to follow this up.**Also my mums maiden name was Harmes. I was born and bred in Ellistown~ leaving in 1959. I have now retired and am looking to make a historical record for my own use~ of the area say from 1940. I am finding it VERY difficult to make contact with the Ellistown residents. I am basically looking for any old photographs of Ellistown (and would even like to talk to anyone (say 75-80 who has any recollections of the War etc. - Can anyone help ???

I am looking for Finch Relatives in the Donnington and Hugglescote areas. John Finch. born in 1822 or Joseph Finch born~ 1828 or their sisters~ Elizabeth~ Mary~ Emilia~ and Sarah. My Great Grandfather~ Henry Finch was their brother and came to the states in 1846 or 1856. I plan to visit the area this summer and would dearly love to meet some descendants. He had a large family and one child~ Henry Finch born in 1820 was my great grandfather. He came to the US. in 1856. I am going to visit the area this summer and would love to meet any relatives.
