I wonder if anyone can help. If anyone knows anything about Foot's.

My great grandfather John (Jack) Foot amarried Sarah Ellen Short of Hermitage. John's father George Foot (1850-1923 lived for a time at Hermitage and then for many years lived in a now demolished cottage in Upcerne Wood. He is buried and has a tombstone in the churchyard in Upcerne.

George married 3 x.
Firstly to Mary Ann Thorne (13 children)
Annie Flicker (2 children)
Sarah Newton

I know nothing about Annie or Sarah and if known by anyone then that would be tremendous.

George's father was called William born 1815. He and his wife Mercy both spent their latter years and died in the Cerne Abbas workhouse.

His father Titus Foot lived and died in the Park at Cerne.

If anyone knows anything about the people or location it would be most helpful

p.s. George had a son Robert borm 1902 by Annie Flicker. Robert Foot killed himself when about 50 and buried at Upcerne - any information would be of interest.

My great great Grandfather John Dunford was born in Chilfrome in 1806~ how can I find out anything relating to him and his life in the village? He married a Hannah Rolles from Wynford Eagle1825.

I used to live in Ryme Intrinseca until I was 18 years old~ My Mother still lives there and I try to go back when I can. I now live in the City of Bath~ which is a lovely city. Ryme Intrinseca is such a beautiful little village and well worth going to visit or even live (only if you have your own transport though~ it can be rather bothering after a few days) Lovely~ Lovely.
