I am trying to find out any information relating to the old Pendomer school,I understand that it is now a private dwelling. Many of my ancestors taught there at varios times during the 19th century. I am trying to build up a picture of thier life there. the main family name is HULL although there are several more. the family was from East Coker. Many thanks.

My mother Margaret Louisa Coutts was born in sub district of Stotford~ county of Bedford on December 5~ 1908.**Her parents were James William Coutts & Thirza Coutts~ nee: Pettifar. I am trying to trace my first cousins whom I was never aware of being born in the USA as my Mom married a US Army Sgt~ Stanley Jesse Gordon & moved to the USA. Believe I may have 2 first cousins still living in Bedfordshire~ Fredrick & Barbara children of James William Coutts~ 1906-1991~ HELP PLEASE

The Handover family name originated in Ilchester and I have traced the family tree back to the mid 1600's. Some family members went to the US and some to Australia but the majority travelled to west London in the mid 1800's. Should anyone wish for any information please contact me.

Seek information of the family MERRITT of which the sons fore-mentioned NIGEL who accomodated me in 1968 at the time of one month a linguistic stay with ILCHESTER. No the news since this date. I am hoping to find anyone who knows of a family named Marks who lived in South Petherton in the early 1800's. John Ernest Marks died and his widow~ Jane~ and a number of the younger members of the family migrated to Australia to join a son who was alredy there. Another son eventually settled in Australia following army service in India. Several of the older children of the family remained in Somerset and eventually married and had families of their own. **If you know anything about this family I would love to get an email from you.
