Looking for information on Francis Hamill, born 1884 and Roseann Hamill (nee Neary) born 1886 - my grandparents.They were married on 17 July 1910 and lived at 1 High Row, Glenboig
Also my Great- grandparents Francis Hamill and Annie McGrath who lived at 27 Ashbank Glenboig.

I am researching the Aitken Family from Airdrie. John Aitken married Mary Livingstone Grand Hotel Glasgow in 1910. They lived at Fruitfield House in Airdrie in 1936. Would like to find out more information on this family. Mary Livingstone was my Grandmothers sister. Any help would be most appreciated. I have a marrige license for John and Mary and have some doucuments for sister Janet Livingstone Boulton and other family members.

Aunt nan never married~ Aunt Beannie did she lived in a cottage in Longrigend neat a pub in the 1970's. I lived at Distillery Cottages~ Garnkirk until about 1954/55 when we had to move to Moodiesburn. **Attended Chryston Primary School~ then Gartcosh Primary~ then finally to Coatbridge High. I remember the long walk from Distillery Cottages to Muirhead to Mrs. Bentleys local store and oftentimes going to Woodhead Farm for that extra pint of milk! **Would be happy to talk to anyone who lived in the area.**Joanne

• Hi Robyn I was born in Garnkirk and the cottages were all pulled down in the mid 1950s. There are still house's there they were known to me as the excise houses, think there were 6 of them they are now all sited on private land.Sorry I haven't heard of your Italian sculptor even though my mother and my grand mother were born and raised in Garnkirk

My mother~ Jessie Theresa McFarlane~ was born in Coatbridge in the early 1900's. Her parents were John and Mary (Irvine) McFarlane. John may have had something to do with a bakery~ McFarlane-Lane. There were about 15 children. Three boys named Robert~ John~ and Thomas. The last two went to Canada. I think mom went to All Saints School. Mom came to the US at age 15 and never returned home. Any information on cousins or possibly photos would be a blessing! Mary had a twin sister named Lizzie. Some of mom's sisters were Katie~ Susan~ Margaret~ Tillie. I know it is a long shot~ but I am trying to find any information or any **descendants of Harry Black. Harry lived in the Stepps area~ **probably in the 1940s~ when he would have been in his 20s or 30s. I believe he **was a soldier in a Scottish Regiment~ although I do not know which regiment.
