I am looking for Joseph Thomas~ born about 1847 and emigrated to New Zealand about 1872/3. He was an ironstone miner and his father was as well. I have been unable to decipher his birthplace on the 1871 Census (he was living in Yorkshire at that time)~ but Ancestry.co have it as Mawgan. I have no idea of his background~ except his father's name was John and at the time of Joseph's marriage in 1872 was deceased. Can anyone help please? Was Mawgan in a mining area? I would be pleased to hear from anyone with any information. Janet Smith

I went to school here in 1974-1976~ I remember having to walk up the road to a hall where we all ate our dinner.

I am searching for any relatives or descendants of James Rowe (born Constantine 1816)and Elizabeth Matthews (born Landewednack c. 1813) who had 10 children born in Landewednack from 1837 - 1860. James' parents were William Rowe & Alice (Roberts. Elizabeths'parents were Richard Matthews b. Grade and Elizabeth Prior. Nearly the whole family migrated to Australia. Can anyone help?
