My partner and I~ along with our young son are moving from Kent to the nearby area due to his job moving and I have seen quite a few properties I like in New Rossington~ so I wondered if someone could let me know what the area is like~ what there is to do~ nearest main city~ bus~ train routes etc. Would be really helpful to have the low-down on an area before looking!****Thanks very much!

looking for old friends....... used to live at gatehouse in Wroot Road~ before new estate was built on Wroot Road on left hand side going towards village...... I left Finningley in 1975 and moved to Ireland ... think of old friends every so often and wonder where they are now.

Hi - I am looking for pics or information about the Styrings who lived in Misson. Frederick Styring had a farm on Bull Hill which caught fire in April 1845 destryoing the property.

i am looking for any relatives of a Edith Harris sometimes called Girlie i am working on the Albert Harris family tree my mother was a daughter to Albert Harris from Falmouth Cornwall~Edith was his sister she may have had 5 children Mum mentions a Ruby and Vera~ my Mother is still alive and 93 yrs of age and remembers her father visiting family in Balby near Doncaster

Hi **I was born in Balby~ Aneley Road~ 1925~ but moved to Intake at the age of 4yrs. I lived in Runnymede Road for 27 yrs. I went Intake School and Wheatley Seniors~ I worked on the Railway as a Linesman for 15 yrs.**Anyone out there remembers me~ I would like to hear from them.**Frank Thomas

My ancestors lived at 19~ 1/2~ Union Street North~ Doncaster~ Christopher Good~born 1831~ coal merchant~his son Albert Good~born 1871~also coal merchant~married Helen Amanda Furley~born 1871 in Derby.The Furleys presumably were shipping agents on the Trent. Albert Good supposedly committed suicide in the river Trent~when we don't know but any info about this will be much appreciated.
