I am sure that some of the people living at Bank Farm were my relatives. In 1861, Henry and Eliza Powell were at the house with grandmother Martha Whittingham, Henry & Eliza had a sister, Mary Ann and she was my great grandmother. I think Mary Ann was the oldest child. She with her mother and father, & Martha & Charles Powell in the 1841 Cencus living in Great Chatwell. Her father, Charles worked as a horse breaker in later records I have found him working

Hello Newport~****I'm located in California~ USA........my family originated from this area. ****I'm looking for any information regading the Onions~ Mary and Thomas had seven children in Newport between the 1700 to 1800's~ Mary~ Jane~ Thomas~ George~ Catherine~ James~ and Issac.****I would appreciate any information regarding this family~ particully the parents Mary and Thomas.
My name was changed in 1879 to Wenyon, it was previously Onions.
Anybody know the origin of the name?
