I am looking for genelogy information. The period I am looking at is 1850 to 1910. I know they were Romanies and bought property in Tadley but do not know whereabouts although I think it may have been in Mulford's Hill area of Tadley. They lived in Kingsclere/Wolverton/Tadley and Lambourn.

I am at present writing a family history of the Lovelock family who lived at Ibworth and at White Lane Hannington.**In June 1958 a Leonard Lovelock (relative of mine) committed suicide near Ibworth Road. Next to his body was the body of a Mrs Catherine Spencer of North Oakley Cottages. She had also been shot. Has anybody in the area any recollection of the tragedy or any information or publication (newspaper etc)of this terrible event I would grateful for any advice.

Can anyone give me some information on Smiths Green Cottages~ Sherborne St JOhn. I believe my Grandfather was born at number 5 in 1876 but they are now numbered 162 to 166. Maybe someone can tell me when the numbers were changed and which was number five. I also need confirmation that there were not any Smiths Cottages at Monk Sherborne. My Grandad was Charles Silver so I don't know if anyone out there has any information on the Silver family

Our family names stem from Oakley and Overton~ and we carry them through as first or middle names of children through generations. We would like to know the ancestry of the Overton related to us who passed through what is now the US in the early 1600's and was named Robert. We know that he was incarcerated in the Tower of London and then exiled to Barbados~ where he died.

My father Tom Queen~ was stationed in England in 1954 and we lived near Hannington. He and my mother~ Bettye used to visit with several friends~ and dad was an avid dart enthusiast~ even was on a team there. Some names of the darts team members were H. Pearcey~ J. Pearcey~ J. Frankham~ B. Sharps~ I believe the name of the team was White Hart 'A' team. I know one of the pubs they played at was The Swan. Since I have lost both my parents~ and have precious little information to go on...I am trying to find information on a baby brother i have buried in Hannington church yard cemetery. I have pictures of the church and I know that he was born September 1~ 1954 and died November 3~ 1954~ his name was Robert Douglas Queen...any information would be so appreciated. I also have pictures of some friends (Graham & Doreen~ Cath & Jack)of Tom & Bettye and would love to hear from someone.

I am updating information in hopes that someone will see this or know the people I am mentioning and ask them to get in contact with me. I have a letter dated May 12~ 1957 from Cath & Jack~ Doreen & Graham~ Ray & Betty. The top of the letter says "The Marlborough~ Farindon Berks"~ the newspaper clippings that were sent in the letter have the names: J. Pearcey~ J. Frankham~ H. Pearcey and B. Sharps...They were receiving a cup for White Hart 'A' dart tournament. Please let me hear from you if you know any of these folks

I have names of some of the people that dad played on a team with as well as a booklet of Faringdon Town Darts League. I lists several people that held chair on the committee as well as the teams comprising the league.
