Sue, from what I can gather, William Ruffles and Emma Miller married on 16 Oct 1891. They had 5 children. One was Cicely Ruffles (born 1893) who had 3 children, one son called William John Powell who had a daughter, who is me! I would be really interested in any info you have. I really look forward to hearing from you.

I have William Ruffles and Emma miller in my tree. Emma apparently is my 2nd cousin 3X removed according to my Family tree package. I'm afraid I don't have any information from William's side and only some from Emma's. This is something I am looking into as well. I will be going to Suffolk again in a couple of weeks to do some more research, so who knows.

Hi~ I have just started a new branch of my family tree. John Ford was born in c 1823 in Stoke Ash. He later moved to Cheshire and raised his family there including my great-great Grandmother~ Sarah Ann Ford who were all born in Congleton~ Cheshire. I cannot locate any info on John Ford being born in Stoke Ash. I don't want anyone to do the work for me~ rather just to perhaps point me in the right direction? Thank you. Marc

Looking for the John Ransom family. John was born about 1787 in Debenham and was married to Mary~ possibly Gerard. John was a stonemason or bricklayer. He and Mary had sons George~ William Henry and daughters Sarah and Mary and possibly others. They all were born in the Debenham area in the early 1800s. John and his family were recruited to come to America in order to apply their stone masonry skills in the construction of Kenyon College in Knox County~ Ohio. Would much appreciate any information about the family in England.
