I am desperately trying to locate my Gt Gt Grandmother~ her name was Elizabeth CROOK. Elizabeth had an illegitimate daughter in 1882 and name her Annie - she later married Frederick Parsons. I know the family lived in Leckford Cottages~ Andover Road~ Weeke~ Winchester. Although I have Annies birth certificate and marriage certificate. I cannot find out what happened to her mum Elizabeth CROOK (born 1864) - she was sometimes known as Bessie (on Census).

I AM RESEARCHING MY FAMILY TREE WHICH HAS TAKEN ME TO OTTERBOURNE IN 1816 WITH EDWARD MORANT THEN TO HURSLEY WITH HIS FATHER EDWARD 1789~ HIS FATHER BEFORE HIM JOHN MORANT 1760 AND HIS FATHER THOMAS MORANT 1724. I am researching the Petty family history as my 15 year old daughter is related. **** John Petty who was born in Romsey in c1807? He married Emma Newman on 20.02.1832 in Romsey - I have found this record. His eldest son William Newman Petty was born in Hursley in 1832~ became a well known Builder in Romsey area## he built Wellow School in 1875. I have photographs of his workshop in Gazing Lane in the 1870's. **** At some stage John Petty married into the Goddard family as at his death in 1863~ WIlliam inherited the Red Rover Inn~ leased it to Henry Goddard and finally sold it to him in 1875. I have confirmation of a connection betweeen these families via a history source. However~**I cannot find Emma Petty's death nor can I find John Petty marrying into the Goddard Family. William Newman Petty was a boarder at East Tytherly School in 1841~ so I cannot find his parents or any siblings on the 1841 census.****If anyone has any information on John~ William or Emma Petty during the years 1807 - 1860 I would be most grateful for your help to fill in the "missing family story". Please~ please help!

Hello~ **Thanks for having this easy to follow WebSite. **My great grandad was from Abbots Worthy. He joined the Royal Artillery in the mid to late 1800's and was shipped out to Bermuda and then to the Halifax~ Nova Scotia~ Canada area. His name was Henry Grantham and he was the son of John Grantham of Abbots Worthy. **Any information would be greatly appreciated. Or how I can obtain further information would also be greatly appreciated.
