I am looking for Nick and Baraba Moon in the Blythe Bridge area who have 2 children Janet and ?. Janet went to the nursery where I was doing my training in 1983/4 within the grounds of the high school and I found that we were related, she missed out on being a bridesmaid at my wedding in 1984 but was a candle bearer at my daughter christening in 1985. Nick is an electrician? I would love to get in touch and find out more about the family tree if any one knows them please contact me with thanks.

Looking for information about Fulford Hall Farm. My GGgrandfather was Samuel John Wood who was the farmer there from before 1871 to after 1891 on 155 acres~ employing 3 labourers and 1 boy. What were the tenancy arrangements or would he have owned it? What was the farm like? What was life like? Can anyone help please.

My Grandmother~ Ada Simpson (nee Knight) and Grandfather~ Thomas Simpson both lived on farms in Stone area. They married and moved to Yarnfield where they ran a public house until Lloyd George closed it and many others. They turned the pub into a shop and so remained in Yarnfield until moving to Stretford around the 1919/20 period. They had six children~ my Mother Vera being the second eldest and she was born in 1921. Working back I presume my Grandmother would have been born around 1898/1900. My Grandfather around 1895/98. Anyone with any information please feel free to contact me:- BDBMitch@aol.com My Mother~ Vera Simpson used to visit Yarnfield in her youth where someone in the family~ Auntie~ owned an orchard. Vera would always visit~ bringing brothers or sisters along with her.

I am trying to compile a Robins family tree and know my grandfather ( Albert Robins) born 1910 and his father~ Edward Robins born around 1875 were born in and lived in Old Road stone for most of their lives. Hi i am searching for any information about my Mothers Family whose name was Malpas and who originally had a farm called Hillcrest in Oulton ~ my Grandfather had the Brushmakers Arms and my Mother was born there~ my Grandfathers Sisters lived at Abbey Cottage and their Parents are buried in St Johns Grave yard where there is a memorial dedicated to my Grandfathers younger Brother George Malpas who did not return from the 1st World War(in the Church i think)my Mothers Cousin Barbara married Bill Trout and they lived at Rough Close they had a Daughter named Rosamund ~ i have a photo of her as a Baby with my Brother and one of her Father ~ i also have photos of my Great Grandmother and Grandads Sisters in front of the Farm House Hillcrest any info anyone? i am totally fascinated with their History and always have been Grandads Brother William managed an estate called Fradswell Hall and i believe his Family once lived in Airdale Road Stone thankyou Vivien

Hi i am interested in any information about the Malpas Family who lived in Oulton Staffordshire near Stone. The Malpas Family had a Farm called Hill Crest and my Mother was born at the BrushMakers Arms when my Grandad had it~ my Grandads Sister lived in Abbey Cottage and i have happy memories of visits to Oulton when i was a child~ i returned with my Sister and my late Husband sat in the Pub and relived those memories and remembered how much my Mother loved this place and was so proud of her Family ~ i would love to hear from anyone who has any information or a story to tell ~ thanks Vivien.

Could any one tell me how Beaconsfield Drive and surrounding areas got there street names as. I was born and brought up in blurton~ my parents moved there in the early 50's~ my dad even helped to build Blurton High school there were no street lights and no shops apart from critchlows on blurton road~ any help would be appreciated
