Hi, Im looking for details regarding Albion Hill where my grandmother was born. I dont know much about this place and can only assume its a safe place for unmarried mothers etc to go. Anyone with local history would be a great help to help my nan understand where she started life. also does anyone know about CROMWELL HOUSE in brighton its where my nan bioligical mother was listed to work on the birth certificate. many thanks in advance.

Hi All.**I am trying to find info on Harriet Elizabeth Edwards b1884 Langton Green Kent. She married Robert James Edwards b1883 Tonbridge Kent. During the 1940's they were caretakers for the Conservative Club on Montpelier Street Bright. After Roberts death in 1961 Harriet moved to 43 Beaty Avenue~ Coldean.** Can anyone tell me ANYTHING about the family or do you know Beaty Ave Coldean.....Thanks**Jenny

Hi~****I am researching my family tree and have started from Bristol~ to Hammersmith and the end seems to be Southwick nr Shoreham By Sea. My grt~ grt Grandmother Sarah Julia Gridley died in Southwick in April 1948 aged 91 her daughter Julia lewis diels in Southwick 1965. She was married to Charles Lewis from Fulham. Julia had sisters who lived in Hove area with the surnames DOWLING and HAYWARD~ does anyone have any information on them or living relatives please?

There is lots of excitment in Fishersgate at the moment. we have organised a Funtastic Festival~ on June 2nd~ as part of the Adur Arts Festival 2007. This will be the biggest festival in the history of Fishersgate. We know that this will be the first of many events that the local community will organise. Fishersgate has been in the news lately~ saving the local school hit the headlines. There is sure to be other successes to report on these pages soon.
