Hi I'd love some information on ancestors/relatives. My g g g grandparents Richard Bulcock and Sarah Smithies were both born in Downham in the 1790's. Their son~Benjamin~ (my gg grandfather) then migrated here to Queensland~ Australia in 1849. Anybody brave enough to claim an Aussie connection?

I am researching my family tree. My GG Grandad was called John Lakeland and was born/lived in Stony Hurst before moving to Preston when he married Ann Burns who was from Ireland. He lived with his mother Margaret and brothers and sisters John~ Ann~ Jane and Charles. Margaret appears to have remarried a William Hayhurst and they had a daughter Margaret. My grandfather William Wilson was born in 1884 Pimlico/ Clitheroe~ lived in Giles St? Worked at calico factory at 16 yrs of age as labourer~ served & survived Boer war & WW1.** Siblings were Stephen~ Elijah~ Elizabeth. Would dearly love to get in touch with ancestors.

Hi~ my Gt.Gt.Grandad & family lived in the school @ Sawley 1871~ then @ Brow Top whilst being the gamekeeper for Sawley Lodge until after 1881. my gtGt.Gt. Aunt Ann Elizabeth married Joseph Holgate & lived in Southport House around the same time. My Gt.Gt. Uncle~ Levi Dickinson was Chatburn's Blacksmith early 1900's & my Gt.Gt.Aunt Susie Smalley lived in Grindleton for many years

Hello Sawley~****It is my understanding that there is or was in a school at Sawley a memorial **plaque to the the 8th. Lord Lucas which records the interest the family had at **that time in the village community.****It would be helpful to the research that I am doing into the life of Lord Lucas **at Ringwood c.1900 to know more details if this is so. I am looking for any information about my grandfather's sister Fanny Jones. This was her maiden name.I do not know her married name. I believe she had a daughter Winnie. Fanny would have been about 38 years old in 1906. Winnie would have been a schoolgirl. I live in Denbigh North Wales. Fanny's father was a John Jones and was a bailiff at Ystrad Farm Denbigh. She was the ninth of twelve children
