I am looking for the Family of John Fowkes Born LLanberis 1812/3. His father was also John Fowkes who was a Furnace Manager.. John Fowkes junior moved about a bit in his job~ he lived at Walker Iron Works~ Long Benington~ Northumberland in the 1840s and then moved to Blaina then Pontypool Monmouthshire in Wales.

I am trying to find relatives of the Black family who lived in Menai Bridge and Llanfairpwll. James Black came to work on the Britannia Bridge and married a local girl~ Ellinor Ellis of Cadnant. There were blacks living in and around Llanfair until the nineteen-seventies. I am of the branch of the family that moved to Liverpool~ but I am sure there must still be connections locally. Any help or information gratefully received.
