Hayward / Haywood - Eric John. Eric was born in December 1924 and his mailing address in the 1940's was 1 Tower Road Hitchin~ Herdfordshire. Eric served on the HMS Formidable during WW2 and whilst in Sydney met Mum. Mum thought that something had happened to him when he didnt answer her letters and she then met and married our Dad. **Mum~ now 82~ has apparently started to wonder what happened to Eric so I thought I would give it a go.**Does anyone know of Eric or any family that may have lived at that address and if so~ could you let me know please.**Thank you**

Eric John Hayward (or Haywood) was a pilot on the HMS Formidable when it visited Sydney Australia towards the end of WW2. His mailing address at the time was 1 Tower Road~ Hitchin~ Hertfordshire. My mum - now 82 - has mentioned him and has wondered what became of him.**I have only just started trying to track him down but would appreciate it if anyone had any information on him or any possible family**Thanks**

I am trying trace information about Bodsworth family - they lived in Lilley Village from 1700s - some moved to Stopsley and High Town (became Bodsworth Greengrocers) and opened in Luton Market in 1928. Have looked on Ancestry.com and it appears that they were quite a large family in Lilley - have tried to find where buried in Lilley but with no success. Would appreciate any help.

i have just arrived home from staying at the Silver Lion in Lilley i had a most enjoyable few days the accomodation was good and the food also the staff were most helpful i will highly recommend this pub to anyone i know who is going down your way.Thanks for a most enjoyable stay.P.S. i was with my sister and brother-in-law
