I am looking for information on the Spence Family who lived in Wensleydale and Leyburn area during the early 1800s. My Great~ Great~ Great Grandfather John Spence was born there in 1805 and then moved to United States where he died in 1867 and is now buried in Gridley~ California. I am trying to find more information on his parents~ brothers and sisters.

I am researching my family tree and my ancestor Hannah Walker was christened in Aysgarth in 1792. She had two sons Thomas and William both out of wedlock. She moved away and went to live in Bradley North Yorkshire and Married William Fry in Kildwick Church in 1824. Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks.

I am researching the Family History on my mother's side. They are the Chapman family~ most of whom came from Reeth~ Grinton~ Gunnerside~ Muker~ Merrick and surrounding areas.
