One Willelmus Ketell was listed under Yorkshire Fines~ Feb 2~ 1211. Does anyone know what Dunsforth was like back in 13th C.? Who was collecting the fines? Also~ os this a Norse name? Was Dunsforth Danelaw?

I have recently returned from the Falkland Islands where I visited Christ Church Cathedral in Port Stanley. It was there that I read that the communion table was made in South Stainley in North Yorkshire. This caught my eye as I was brought up in Markington! Does anyone know anything about this?

I am looking for any information on my Great great grandfather Charles Almond.**He was born in Scotton in 1857/1858 and married Louisa Marrison in Sheffield in 1879.**They had 2 son's and 5 daughter's one being Mary Ellen who was my great grandmother.**Thank you for any help.**Richard
