My great-grandfather~ Austen Micklem~ was from Burchetts Green before he moved to the US (Virginia) sometime in the late 1800s. His parents were John Henry Micklem~ Sr. and Anne Butler Micklem. Austen was a pharmacist/chemist in England~ but later went to medical school after arriving in the US. ****I am wondering if I have any cousins still in the area?

Does anyone know anything about the family of Arthur Edward and Bertha (nee Knapp) Bowyer who farmed in Winnersh. They are farming there on the 1901 census~ the address was Murrell Green. They had a son Alec who was born in 1916. I do not know if they had any orther children.**Anything about Alec or his parents would be appreciated or any information about their farm.

I am trying to find my Ancestors~ who were born and raised in Berkshire. My Grandfather was a Ship's Captain. He ran away from home aged ten and went to sea. He ended up in Australia. He married my Grandmother Adelaide Williams from London~ she was a stewerdess on Grandfather's ship. I believe the Halfacre's or Halfacree's date back to 1066 and came over from Normandy.

I am researching my family history - any info on William STONE b1826 - Agricultural Labourer and his wife Esther nee SHIRLEY b1837. Their daughter Fanny gave birth to a son Albert Ernest STONE b1881 who was later adopted by her elder sister Phoebe b1857 and her husband George GREGORY who were married in Cookham 28/08/1880 but were in Lambeth London by the 1881 Census - Albert Ernest was my maternal Grandfather - Any info would be very much appeciated.
