Would dearly love to get information on Vera (nee) White of Wollaston, Born circa 1933 who went to Wellingborough Girls High School c. 1944-1948.
We were engaged in 1952, but unfortunately I lost her when I returned from the Far East in 1953.
I know she married an American GI and went to the States to live in 53/54?. (Don't know her married name)
I also learned that the marriage didn't work out and she returned to the UK (dont know when) with two of her children.

Would love to know how her life panned out, or even better to see a photo of her. Sadly I'm told she died some years ago, but would still like to fill in the gaps.

I was a Wartime Evacuee 70 years ago named Kathleen HUTH**stayed with the Humphries family in a house named Beechtrees maid named Edith in a village named Stanwick Northants . have lived in Australia since 1965 would love someone to contact who remembers the evacuees .

I have sourced the family to Corby/Little Adington in Northamptonshire England. It appears the father name was Reuben and was a farmer. His wife's name was Ann and they had many children including Reuben/Edward Reuben (who is our ancestor-born 1835) in the area. Reuben was also born in Corby around 1796. I don't have any other information on the family other than possible sibling names of Samuel~ Robert and John. Any help on this family would be greatly appreciated!!

JJ QUINN (102 Croyland Rd~ from 1937 to 1946) was my dad~ two brothers Colin and John and I attended Freemans School. The family moved to Canada after the war. I remember Haddon Hall where all the evacuee children from London stayed during the blitz. Please write if you are in that era~ I now live near Niagara Falls Canada..Anyone remember the german plane that dropped bombs in Wellingborough and was shot down by a spitfire from the local air force?About 1944-45

I'm looking for a lady that I dated in 1966 from Rushden~ she would be close to 70 years old now~ her name was Miriam and she had a beauty shop. We went to the oldest pub in England that is not to far from Rusden and also to a dance in Wellingbourough~ I found some pictures of her that was taken by me and friends. I live in the U.S. in the state of Utah and still work for the Air Force. In 1966 I was stationed at RAF Wethersfield~ Essex as an military policeman. We are having a reunion in Texas in May and I hope to invite some old friends.
