Looking for a man named John (approx 59/60 years old), his parents are Joseph and Daphne. Unsure of surname.
Joseph's father/father-in-law(name not known) owned a workshop, with petrol pumps (believe to be Shell) infront of their house, which he used to work at.
Daphne was best friends with a Rose Harding (maiden name Mort), her son Neil Harding visited in the summer of 1962/63 and would like to track old friend John down.
Unsure if John still lives in Wing.

HOPKINS and HOPKINS als JANES. I have been researching my ancestors and have a direct line to Robert Hopkins who died 14 January 1494. ( He is my 12x Great grandfather ). All his descendants were Hopkins - Janes until 1700 in my line when they suddenly dropped the Janes. Others the Janes suddenly dropped the Hopkins**I have had my DNA ancestry done and we are Nordic people and no relation to the Hopkins' in Wales or Ireland.

Several generations of my ancestors were born~ lived & died in Linslade from the early 1800s right through to the early 1900s. Most were working on the railways and lived in and around Wing Rd~ Southcott & Southcourt~ Rose Cottage~ Gibraltar Square~ Soulbury Rd~ Old Road. Examples: Ambrose Holland Snr (married Sarah Chandler~ 7 kids)~ Ambrose Holland Jr (Married Mary Ann Jelley~ 7 kids)~ Charles Holland (Married Sophia Wheeler moved to Harlesden~ 3 kids). I would be very interested in any old photographs of any of these places or articles~ stories~ etc. from Linslade around that period - or anyone who has links into any of these other family trees.

• Just seen your comments re Ambrose Holland he was my gr Grandfather Granny Holland(Mary Ann Jelley) brought up my father when his mother Ambrose's daughter Lillie died. To complicate things Mary Ann's sister Jane married my gr grandfather Thomas Dawson. I was born in Willesden but lived 57 years in Linslade. I do have some photo's re the above.

We are trying to make contact with any living member of the Ross family of Bow Brickhill. Also any living relative of Grace and Digby Crompton Whitehead. Grace was Grace Ross and married Digby Crompton Whitehead in 1925. They moved to Wing and Grace was living there in 1950's If there is any one out there who knew her or any member of her family we would love to make contact with them. **grace had 7 brothers and sisters. Charles Inwards was my Great-Great Grandfather. He was born in 1818 in Hockliffe~ Bedfordshire. He married Emma Cox.. they had 3 children~ Maria (b. abt. 1842)~ William (b. 1844) and Mary Ann (b. 1846).****They immigrated to Canada in 1847.****I would appreciate ANY information about them including parents and siblings of Charles... the name of the ship they took to Canada... where Charles's parents might be buried... any history of the family.****Please email careng.geo@yahoo.com
