I will be traveling in the Waringstown area and looking for suggestions on research on my forebears from the area. Two brothers (dates approx.):**1) James Waring b. 1818~ emigrated to Canada <1843**2) Henry Waring m. Margaret Alexander. His children emigrated 1870-1880: Margaret Jane (b. 1840)~ Mary Ann (1844)~ John (1848)~ James (1849) m. Bessie~ Elizabeth (1854 Belfast?)~ Alexander (?) stayed in Ireland. Thanks!

I will be in the Waringstown area traveling and am looking for any suggestions on how to research...my forebears apparently came from here. Two brothers (dates approximate):**1) James Waring - b. 1820~ emigrated to Canada <1843##**2) Henry Waring m. Margaret Alexander - his children emigrated to Canada 1870-1880: Margaret Jane (1840)## Mary Ann (1844)## John (1848)## James (1849) m. Bessie## Elizabeth (1856) m. Cummin(g)s~ George (doctor) lived in Carryduff abt 1793-1802. One of the imprisoned leaders of 1797 Uprising. Taken to Hamburg## removed to New York. Seeking name of wife?? Children: Hans born 1794## Thomas 1796## John Chambers 1803 and Elizabeth## probably other ch. George may have been close relative of Hans BOGGS. Hans Cumming md Jane Gordon abt 1831 (in Carryduff???). Seeking information on this family and desire to communicate with any living relatives. (I'm from Iowa~ USA)

Researching Henry Taylor and wife Grace Warren (perhaps Waring as family was uneducated).**Henry Taylor~ weaver states on death certificate b. County Down~ IReland. Grace Warren b. Ireland.**Children: B.Ireland........son states Clonmel~ daughter states Armagh~ rest state just Ireland.**Griffiths evaluation seems to show Taylor's..John~ William~ Elizabeth~ Henry all in Donaghcloney. Henry and family immigrated to Canada in 1865/66. Interestingly all his children have these same given names and so I hope to find someone with relationships.****I had previously thought Donaghcloney to be in Down~ but your map on this home page states it is in Armagh~ which seems to tie the information that I have found together even more.****See the information that I have already below.....Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am in British Columbia~ Canada****1. Where would I go to for help with finding a baptism for my gt gt grandfather Edward Mooney~ all I know is that he was born in Seapatrick~ joined the 65th Foot Regiment (2nd Yorkshire~ North Riding) on 29th May 1843 - and he went to NZ to fight in the Maori Wars and was discharged in Wellington NZ 31st January 1857. He was married to Margaret Woods~ would be great too if I could find a marriage record for these too. Any help gratefully received. One of their son's was Samuel who I was told was born in Downpatrick but cannot find any baptism for him either.

Scriven~ Capt. John married Jane Medlicott~ kids## Joseph Medlicott Scriven (What a friend we have in Jesus)~ Jane Bury Scriven married Edward Kentish Evans (son of Rev. John Evans Grassendale). Jane M died 1866 at Tynan living with her son John Enraght Scriven. Others## Thomas Disney married Dora Evans~ William Disney married Maude. Rev. Arthur Fitzgerald Evans - Great Maplestead & Alphamstone. Current generation has no contact with UK relatives HELLO?
