On my Mothers side I have William Poulton and Elizabeth Rasbass that were born early 1800's and moved to USA Western area~ cir. 1860. If there is any one that has a connection to either of these two (2) families it would be grand to hear from you. Thanks~ Steve

My grandfather came to the United States in 1869 at the age of two with his parents a brother and two sisters His name was Ernest John Daniel Danks. His father was John Danks and his mother was the former Caroline Hickman. His mother and her mother and maybe some sisters owned the High Oak Inn in Pensnett.** John Danks worked in iron at the then Rosedale Rolling Mill in Kansas City~ Kansas~ USA. Ernest Danks later went to California. My mother Lucile Danks lived in Los Angeles where I was born. I now am retired and live in Santa Rosa California 60 miles north of San Francisco. Maybe someone in Pensnett is distantly related to one of the above.

My G-Grandmother was Eliza Martin~ the daughter of David and Mary (Law) Martin. She was born in Holleyhall in 1871. The family emigrated to the US settling in western PA. ANy info would be gretly appreciated.

Hi.. Can anyone help me ?. I used to live with my Aunty in Rookery Road~ Lanesfield. My Grandfather lived in (what was then called Rookery Hall~ Spring Rd)~ now called~ I believe the 44 Club. I have been trying for years to obtain copies of old family photographs which were still on the walls of the club~ but my many letters go unanswered :-(. I am trying~ then~ to find more family of Louisa Bradley (born 1861) who had moved to the Manchester area by the time she had a child - my grandmother Mary Ann.
